Turning it on
- Open the Account tab, then Personalisation. The summary settings are visible there whether or not you subscribe.
- Turn on the daily summary. Without Premium, this sends you to the Premium screen instead.
- Allow notifications when iOS asks. The system prompt only appears at this point, after you have explicitly turned the feature on. Showtime does not ask during onboarding or sign-in.
How it is built
The summary is assembled on your device from your Trakt calendar, synchronised over a 30-day window.
Only television episodes are included.
What it will not do
- No per-episode alerts. One notification a day, or none.
- No movie releases. Television only.
- Premium required. $1.00 or 1 € per month, with a 7-day free trial.
- Dropped shows are excluded, the same as everywhere else in Showtime.
